Hello! My name is Dr. Heidi Stauffer and I practice at Stauffer Family Dental in Westerville, OH. Many patients ask me about bleaching options. I like professional bleaching with custom trays the best but there are other great options, too. Custom tray bleaching requires impressions to make the bleach trays that fit only your teeth. The initial investment is higher at $275 at our office. However, over time, your teeth will return to their natural color. When you need to bleach again, you can reuse the trays and buy bleach for about $9 a tube. This type of bleaching gives the best results. However, we also sell Opalescence Go trays in our office. In a kit, you receive 10 upper and lower trays and it is only $60. They are not custom fit and require no impressions. They are ready to use right out of the box. They are available in several different strengths that are used for 15-60 min a day(depending on strength) for 5-10 days. The gel also contains potassium nitrate and fluoride to help with sensitivity that sometimes accompanies bleaching. These trays also make great Birthday, Holiday, or Anniversary gifts!
